Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. ~ Rumi
I still recall how challenging it was to take that leap when my own journey with therapy began over 20 years ago. I believe that a therapeutic relationship has the power to break down barriers and foster change. My approach is playful and sensitive, but I will challenge you when the time is right.
Since I was a little girl, I was drawn to stories - about people and the human condition. This led to an early career in theater, before my life as a therapist, which had a profound impact on how I work with people. I pull from my life experiences and training as a psychoanalyst, drama therapist, and actor.
Before starting my private practice, I worked in hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, and schools - with children, teens, and adults. I have helped people to deal with a wide range of issues such as addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, identity issues, and parenting difficulties. Working with women who are learning to navigate pregnancy, motherhood and all that it entails is a special interest of mine.
